Counseling

My name is Mrs. Carmen Frank and I am the bilingual counselor at Luther Burbank Elementary School.  Burbank Elementary is a wonderful school and community and I feel privileged to be part of the family.  I have an undeniable passion for elementary school counseling and always knew it would be my dream job.  I have my undergraduate degree in clinical psychology, two masters degrees and my Pupil Personnel Service Credential.  My MA is in Human Behavior and MS in Educational Counseling.  I was a social worker for 22 years working with children who had special needs and abilities.

What I love most of all about elementary level students is their ability to learn and the joys of watching them succeed.  This is a great time for students to become outstanding citizens and it makes me proud to be part of that process.  As the School Counselor, my primary responsibility is to promote social/emotional wellness, academic achievement, safety and improved attendance.  We will have our Wellness Team working to provide Burbank students with social, emotional and behavioral health related services such as school based individual/group counseling, parent education workshops, wellness lessons, behavior intervention consultations and linking parents to resources.

I look forward to working with you all!  I am certain that together we can all create endless cycles of hope, love, patience, forgiveness, resilience and perseverance for all our students.
